Why Mermaiding?
There are so many reasons why people choose to mermaid! It could be that you want to experience the water differently and change your monotonous swimming routine. Maybe the water calls you in a way that your inner child is screaming to fulfill its wildest dreams. It could be that you want to find a new hobby that's both creative and athletically challenging (who said swimming in a tail wasn't a core workout?). Whatever it is, and whatever skill level you're at, there's something for everyone in our mermaid courses. So why not add a little magic to your life?
Discover Mermaid
This experience is for those that want to try swimming with a mermaid tail! The Discover Mermaid experience introduces simple mermaid activities in a shallow pool. It is designed as a flexible, informative, enjoyable, and controlled experience centered on letting you discover what it's like to swim as a mermaid whether you're a child or an adult. Experience the fun at any age!
Must be at least 6 years old and comfortable in the water. All you have to do is show up and be excited to learn how to be a mermaid! All courses come with videos and photos taken throughout the duration of the class at no extra charge!

Basic Mermaid (Beginner)
This two-hour introductory course combines learning the supporting knowledge and principles with a confined water skill session to introduce the fun of mermaid diving! In this course, we cover how mermaid diving came to be, mermaid history in culture, primary safety considerations, equipment and basic water skills and includes a certification! All courses come with videos and photos taken throughout the duration of the class at no extra charge!
Prerequisites: Can swim 25m/80ft without swim aids and float comfortably at the surface for at least 3 minutes. No prior experience with diving is required. Must be at least 6 years old and comfortable in the water.

Mermaid (Intermediate)
The Mermaid course includes a knowledge development session and at least two water skill sessions that develop more dynamic mermaid skills beyond Basic Mermaid, including many skills that make mermaiding an underwater self-expressive art and performance. (Note that the PADI Mermaid course includes Basic Mermaid, so you can start with PADI Mermaid – there is no need to take Basic Mermaid separately). All courses come with videos and photos taken throughout the duration of the class at no extra charge!
Prerequisites: Can swim at least 50m/160ft without swim aids, and be able to float at the surface for at least 5 minutes. No prior experience with diving is required. Must be at least 10 years old and comfortable in the water.

Advanced Mermaid
In this advanced course, we will take your mermaid skills to the open ocean! You will learn how open water environments differ from a pool or confined water, and be introduced to open water mermaiding techniques. You will also learn about aquatic life – what to expect, how it can affect you, and how you can mermaid safely. All courses come with videos and photos taken throughout the duration of the class at no extra charge!
Prerequisites: Can swim 100m/320ft without swim aids, float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 mins, and must have completed the Mermaid Course. Must be at least 12 years old.

5-7pm online meeting on a weekday before course
Day 1
8-9am: Meet at public pool, brief, stretch, go over equipment
9am-1pm: Go over pool work, technique, safety, mermaid tricks and tips
Day 2 (Advanced Mermaid only)
8-9am: Meet at the beach for a shore dive, brief, stretch, go over safety procedures and important landmarks
9-11am: Shore dive out with bifins and float, drop the line and practice safety techniques, rescues, and mermaiding in open water
Mermaid (Intermediate) and Advanced Mermaid Combo
This combination course is perfect for those who are comfortable in a monofin, are very confident swimmers, or already have experience mermaiding and want to take it to the next level! By taking this course, you can knock out two certifications in one day! Includes one knowledge development session, two pool sessions, and two open water sessions.
Prerequisites: Swim at least 100m/320ft and float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 minutes.
Must be at least 12 years old.

Want to improve your mermaiding or diving skills in a one on one session? Then contact us for a personal swim session where we can better address your skills. We will go over anything you'd like to work on and personalize a session just for you whether that's in the pool or in the open ocean!

Equipment: A towel, bathing suit, dry clothes, reusable water bottle, flip flops, mermaid tail skin, monofin, mask and j-snorkel, bifins, weights and weight belt. Have some of these items already? Let us know what you need!
A wetsuit is highly recommended and will be provided for the Advanced Mermaid Course.
Medical and Liability waiver forms are required to be signed and submitted before class. A parent/guardian must sign for those under 18 years old.
eLearning is included in these prices and must be completed before the in-person portion.
These courses do not include transportation, lodging, or food and beverage.
We reserve the right to cancel any activity due to unforeseen weather conditions; in the instance we cancel an activity on our end, we will offer a free rebooking.
Must be able to complete the pre-requirements, if any, to participate in any of our water activities.
Refund Policy: Refunds can only be issued when requested within 48 hours of payment. The cost of eLearning cannot be refunded.
